What is the reason for not recommending single set to failure done HIT style, controlled rep cadences to momentary muscular failure?

In the Muscle & Strength Pyramid Nutrition book, very few supplements are mentioned. How do you feel about probiotics, curcumin, ashwaganda, and SAMe? Examine.com says they’re effective but I don’t want to waste money taking supplements that you don’t think are worthwhile investing in.

Thank you so much for the quick response! Thank you for the reassurance that the measurement could be a result of bloating. I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong!
I clicked on the link you provided but there is no Chandler on the results page.
My plan is to get shredded then add lean muscle while maintaining maximum leanness. The Last Shred should help me with that.
I’m considering enlisting your help as a coach if you’re still taking on new clients. I just turned 50 so I don’t have much time to waste with trial and error. With your book I have more knowledge but you have the experience so my progress should go a lot faster

Mr. Morgan,
Great work on those books! They’re absolutely amazing! I only they had been written decades ago. I would have saved a lot of time, money, and frustration. I have 2 questions:
1) I’ve been following the nutrition book and have been steadily losing a pound a week. Even though the weight has been coming down, over the past 3 weeks, I’ve gained an inch on my waistline (now 32)! Any explanation you can think of? I’m losing weight, leaning out everywhere else but waistline goes up!
2) All the before and afters I’ve seen on your website relate to fat loss. Do you also work with clients who want to gain muscle?
Thank you so much for your time.
